From Suzuki Soukei Sensei, 2023-04-24-CU-Tankokai-20th:
- Entering and exiting daime, you only need to nijiru if there is a De-ro
- This is because the temae dougu goes right where your feet would go if you would walk.
- However! If you have Sumiro or Mukougiri, you don’t put dougu there, so no need to nijiru across.
- (I believe this is different from what Ula told us a while ago).
