(may be wrong, just brought in from Notion)
- Notable points:
- Bring in the tomo kaejawan after kinin has their first sip of koicha
- Take out kensui, bring back emptied kensui and chawan
- No sorei for the second bowl, only osaki
- Only acknowledge the oshimai for the first bowl — it’s koicha (specifically, it’s a chaire that’s been emptied), so no need to say it again
- Fully clean + return everything to honjimae before beginning to clean second bowl
- Bring in the tomo kaejawan after kinin has their first sip of koicha
From Suzuki-sensei
The tomo will usually finish haiken of the kinin bowl by the time their bowl is ready. They should bring the kinin’s bowl back at the same time as they stand to get their own bowl. Note that when swapping bowls in front of the teishu, the kinin’s bowl should always stay kamiza as described in Kinin Kiyotsugu Usucha. suzuki
