  • Koraiberi 「高麗縁」 is often used for tokonoma. Omotesenke uses koraiberi as their main tatami heri (I think)

  • We often think of tokonoma as having a kamiza and a geza side, but in truth, both sides are geza. The center of the tokonoma is the most kamiza. Left and right of it are both relatively geza.

  • If there is a shoin, normally things that are related to writing are placed there (as shoin is literally a writing desk). However, often kogo are placed there.
