You do te wo suite for all 3 haiken item placements, but these do NOT have to be gyo no te. Just a so no te is more than sufficient. Otherwise, it’s super awkward.
Drinking, all bowls are always turned migi mawari! Even if karamono!
Also! Kansha the dai as well, not just the bowl, when drinking.
Placing the bowl + dai out for the guest to drink, however, should be hidari mawari
My warigeiko notes
Scooping water, if I need to scoop a half scoop, I should keep the ladle completely level as I’m coming up in the water, then turn it to capture the water. That is in comparison to keeping the ladle at 30degrees and not having to turn to capture the water (bc it looks like it’s being emptied)
Okibishaku, try to stacked fingers ie chashaku when setting down, as opposed to a flat palm. This will force my body to come down too.
Daitenmoku ro:
Basically the same as in furo. You start in mitsukazari, and bring everything in front of you as usual
Tenmokuza is in exactly the same place as in furo, ie if there was literally a furo where the furo usually is. Practically, this means it will be by the kensui
Everything else is basically the same. Note the chasen placement, it is relative to the hishaku position as it is on the futaoki, not as it is in the kama
Upper temae notes:
Lower temae point uchizumi, konarai points sotozumi. Gyo points at the center point between the corner of the daisu (projected onto the heri) and sotozumi, and shin points to the corner of the daisu (projected onto the heri)
