Things to think about before the event
- What is the tokonoma layout?
- Where do flowers go?
- What is the tatami layout?

Demonstration
As soon as presentation ends, demonstration can start. Kristina teishu, Sarah guest, Dario narration.
- Sarah to enter first. Skip seki-iri, just sit directly in position.
- Kristina brings higashi, exits. Standing bow for ippuku sashi agemasu, then enter with chawan + natsume. No sitting for aisatsu.
- (Still working through if we do this, or if we bring an extra hanjo).
- Make tea all as usual. No haiken.
After tea completes and teishu leaves, kyaku should exit and bring higashiki with them.
Serving and Q&A
Q&A and serving happening at the same time. Dario will stay out and answer questions, while Drea, Sarah, and Kristina handle serving.
- Before starting questions, we all serve higashi. Everybody has a tray and walks one-by-one down the line. Guests will take higashi from the tray on their own.
- Once higashi is served, Dario will open up Q&A.
- (It will be kind of busy, so difficult to start Q&A before that).
- Remaining three immediately begin whisking and serving tea.
- As soon as bowls are ready, take them out. Don’t let more than 2-3 bowls sit without being served.
- No need to stick with any one role. Feel free to whisk some, serve some.
- When serving, give bowls to guests by hand.
- After you serve your bowl, look around to see if anybody is done.
- Try not to come back without an empty bowl, once people have started finishing.
- Only carry one bowl at a time.
Don’t worry about cleaning bowls until all bowls are returned. Get bowls out as quickly as possible to get everybody their tea. Cleaning can happen after.
