  • When I try to do cmd A, cmd C, I don’t like that. I do commander a with Home mods, but then I switched to the macro or the shortcuts layer to do command. See, they should be all collapsed down realistically I think it would be good to move command a to the shortcuts layer too.

  • Instead of manually calculating the entire outline of the union edge I can just create two different footprints one base of the rectangle and then another key map that is just relative to those keys and then I should be able to union those two shapes together to get the final board

  • It really needs to be 10cm otherwise it looks like shit. And if it’s wider than 4.5cm it also looks like shit. Maybe even do 4cm. 12g anko is fine, but hard to tell proportions because we did poorly. Konashi needs to be dry. If it’s wet from working color into it, wait for it to really dry. Print out some rolling pin height things for next time. Dual color is really challenging to do if you try to blend them. Making rectangles is hard.

  • For the split version of the unibody keyboard that I’m making, I feel like I would like to drop the pinky a little bit more. I’m keeping the pinky intentionally less staggered than it would otherwise be because for a human body I feel like the pinky stagger is what locks you into a certain hand position. Less pinky stagger means that there is more flexibility for your wrist to rotate about the keyboard without feeling uncomfortable. So for the human body, I’m going with gentler stagger. For a full split though I think I would like to go with more aggressive stagger.
